A long-time Texan, Darlene was originally from Connecticut and although never able to drop her New England accent, she loved living in Austin.

She was very active in her church, St. John's Episcopal Church in Austin. Darlene served as a member of the Vestry, Daughters of the King, Altar Guild and numerous other ministries.

Darlene loved to travel with her husband Don and cherished her trips to Mexico with her LOAF group. She loved to knit and was an avid sports enthusiast and loved watching football and cheering for Texas Longhorn baseball.

Darlene blessed all those who knew her with her sharp wit, generous heart, various knitted creations and hand-made cards. She will be missed beyond measure.

The Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 11:00 am with the Reverend Matthew Seddon officiating.
